Vastly experienced Irish journalist John Whelan and his wife Grazyna Rekosiewicz are the driving forces behind Vanhalla. All the reviews, recommendations and photography are original and first-hand.
Based on our own personal knowledge and experience we provide objective reviews of campsites and camping opportunities throughout Ireland, with occasional forays to the UK and Europe.
Because there’s so much more to camping than just parking up your motorhome, caravan or pitching your tent, we go much further than just rating and reviewing campsites and places to stopover. We also provide reliable and valuable insights; nuggets of information into the localities you will visit and the array of amenities, attractions, and activities available, all gleaned from our own research.
With an eye on high standards and good value we’re conscious of family-friendly locations, things-to-do and places of interest to visit and explore, the local offerings, food, entertainment, festivals, and artisan produce for you to relish.
We also love surfing, cycling, walking, hiking, trekking, kayaking and of course some tunes and refreshments in local taverns and hostelries always go down well at the end of an enjoyable excursion as the evening rolls on into another memorable experience under the night sky.
